Portraits 2012

I am really proud that for the second year running I am exhibiting at the annual exhibition of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters!

My painting ‘Autumn’ was selected and will be exhibited at the Mall Galleries in London (on The Mall, near Trafalgar Square) from 3-18 May.

I’ve vandalised their official poster a bit (sorry!)

Magazine Article

There is a 4-page article about me and my work in the French art magazine Pratique des Arts! I am really excited and proud. Stéphanie came to interview me last summer and finally here is the result.
I haven’t seen the article yet myself, but if you can get a hold of a copy....

Goodbye

Bye, bye Veil!

My painting ‘The Veil’ is on its way to its new home in the USA. Packed and crated, ready to go. It is always a bit nerve-wracking to ship my work so far away. All I can do is pack it really well and hope it arrives in one piece.

I am currently working on a similar piece and also hunting for more lace!

Parasol

Still working on my Victorian parasol...still lots to do...I usually do not have the patience to wait untill layers are dry. I move on with painting no matter if its dry or not. But this time, I think I am going to have to wait a couple of days before moving on with this painting. 

That gives me a good excuse to start a new painting. I have another pile of lace in my mind.....

Snow Flake Children - Framed

This is how ‘Snow Flake Children’ has been framed. I am going to submit this painting to the BP Portrait Award - my first time entering this prestigious competition. Keep your fingers crossed for me but, like me,  assume a negative response. There will be thousands of entries....
